Pakistan’s Muhammad Sajjad claimed his fourth victory in the ongoing IBSF World Championship after receiving a walkover against Philippine’s Felipe Tauro in Group P to move into the knockout stages of the event being played in India.
Meanwhile the other two Pakistani cueists, Muhammad Asif Toba and Hamza Akbar, also increased their chances of moving into the next phase after registering their third wins in Groups R and C respectively.
Asif thumped India’s Balaji Reddy in straight frames after a close contest in the first set, going on to seal the match with scores of 55-54, 104-14, 65-41 and 60-24.
On the other hand, Hamza has not looked back since his initial defeat in the opening round as he extended his winning streak in the competition after a 4-0 mauling of India’s Varun Madan. He triumphed over the Indian with scores of 80-25, 68-27, 60-45 and 56-17.
