LAHORE: Delegations of minority groups on Saturday assured Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Secretary General Tanvir Ashraf Kaira that they would attend the party’s Foundation Day convention at Bilawal House on November 30. Representatives of minorities from seven divisions called on Kaira. He said the PPP had always made efforts to mainstream minority communities. “Minority citizens, too, have been actively taking part in nation building.” He said the PPP was a liberal, progressive and pluralistic party that supported minorities as equal citizens of Pakistan. He said successive PPP governments had taken significant steps for the welfare of minorities.
