Environmental challenges: FUAAST holds climate change seminar

KARACHI: Policymakers and disaster management authorities must realise that although climate change and its manifestations are realities that cannot be averted, their intensity and damage can be efficiently managed through available resources, said experts on Sunday. They were speaking at a seminar, titled 'Taking a Step towards Environmental Sustainability - Flood Disaster or Opportunity,' organised by the botany department at the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology in coordination with the Green Media Initiative. Prof Dr Moinuddin Ahmed said that it was high time that the authorities recognised the importance of science and technology in braving environmental challenges.
