KARACHI:

In a move that will provide boost to the country’s startup ecosystem, P@SHA is launching its own startup incubator, The Nest i/O, in Karachi.

To be set up with a cost of $1.4 million, the initiative has been co-sponsored by Google for Entrepreneurs, Samsung and a federal assistance from the United States Department of State, the president said, adding “there are many rich people in the country but it’s hard to find someone who is willing to support startups”.

“The new technology incubator will be a welcome addition to our vibrant city and will be open for business in the first week of December.”

The P@SHA technology incubator will service 50 plus technology teams and provide co-working space to an additional 700 technology entrepreneurs during its first year of launch.
