The committee had declared Pakistan to be a nation responsible for spreading the polio virus across the globe.
Between July and now, three cases of polio have arisen in Afghanistan, for which the committee attributes blame to Pakistan.
In attempts to eradicate polio in six months, the International Health Committee have come down hard on Pakistan and ordered that no Pakistani could travel abroad without a polio certificate.
A polio certificate would mean that the traveler had received polio drops and is safe to travel.
With strict measures being enforced, the committee had said that travelers who were not in possession of the polio certificate would not be allowed to travel under any circumstances and would go through a screening process.
Yet again, lack of security has led to the delay in polio teams carrying out their duties.
A three-day anti-polio campaign was to commence today in Baldia and Bin Qasim, however, lack of security and provisions for the polio teams led to a delay in the campaign.
According to Director Health Services, Dr Zafar Ijaz, in the three-day campaign, over 200,000 children were to be administered polio drops.
Over 600 mobile polio teams had been deployed to administer the drops in 11 union councils.
New polio cases are emerging on a daily basis with little being done to bring an end to the endemic.

This is how personal choices of some ignorant parents becomes national problems. Its duty of every citizen to challenge such ignorance, otherwise prepare for collective punishment.
Polio virus must have been thanking Pakistan to protect them.
democracy! jamhooriat!
Musharraf and #PTI are responsible!Conspiracy by RAW/CIA/mossad to defame Pakistan......
Another first for this Nation ! I suppose now they will start creating fraudulent certs to travel. When will these people learn that they are not unique, nor does a global community really care about them but simply tolerate them. As it is their green passport carries lot of baggage and skepticism, wherever they go.
Now , it was in the process of happening and the ihc has made a decision. Please don't think like a Indian conspiracy. I, being an Indian can understand the predicament. But as every rational person knows, disease knows no religion, caste, creed etc. I will miss the ordinary Pakistani brothers and sisters at the international airports because they work hard and I have seen it overseas .the influentials will get free. It reminds me of the Surat plague of buobonic rats. It would be a shame to see my neighbours in an another line in the airport which is technically the next step and a huge embarrassment to Pakistan. Blame your policies and your feudal lords and army which have bled your country like a leech. The place where we were originally from is on a IHC list, please correct the mistakes you have made and nawaz is on the right track if your military agrees with him.We knew Pakistan will be penalized for polio. It is a disease, a virus which kills into the bone and the nervous system. Anyways, Rab rakha. Satsrirakal.
P.s you can moderate it as deem fit moderator or delete it. I don't mind it.
Very good step by IHC. Since, there is no shame left in our rulers, only the public outcry against polio, will do the job. Salams
Way to go, IHC! Make sure that even the Sharifs, Zardaris, Diesels and Siraj-ul-Haqs of Pakistan are subject to this screening too.
This means Nawaz cannot be allowed to land in any country. He cannot travel anymore. Unless he presents a polio certificate. His whole cabinet will be under restrictions. All these free flying bureaucrats will not be allowed to land to visit their overseas accounts.
