Dr Qadri warned that if the justice is not served, the army might have to launch an operation across the country, warning that people could take up arms in revenge.
“Army chief should also launch Zarb-e-Adal in Lahore and Islamabad or God forbid the country could descend into anarchy.”
Addressing a press conference at PAT Secretariat in Lahore through a video-link from Canada, the PAT chief claimed that General Raheel had acknowledged three of their demands as fair.
“The demands were to register an FIR of 14 murders, formation of a JIT and resignation of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif till completion of the investigation.”
Qadri claimed that the army chief had previously been requested by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz to play its role. The PAT chief explained that it is for that reason that he was now asking the COAS to intervene since none of the commitments made by the government were being fulfilled.
Rejecting the JIT formed by the government consisting of Abdul Razzaq Cheema, the PAT chief said that were ready to accept a JIT from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, consisting of members from the ISI, MI, IB and police.
“Cheema has personal relations with Sharifs and we do not accept a JIT under him,” he added.

After Qadri's rants towards our Army Chief, all the Pakistanis demand the Canadian Army Chief to keep their citizen under control and stop harboring the absconder!
Not Just Qadri, its the voice of more millions to solve the mystery of the murders of their loved ones or friends or voters. Now that Bilawal and PMLn have ok'ed to register criminalsrs as party members there is little hope any one will be caught. This only breed frustration and increase in crime by citizens to commit the "justified" revenge them-self.
Why are Imran Khan and Tahir-ul-Qadri urging military's intervention?
The perception pervading across the think tanks, media and analysts within and outside Pakistan is that the public is losing faith in the political system and looking up to the military to help bring the change. Imran Khan and TUQ are echoeing the public perception and taking the lead for their own political goals. It's time our political leaders did brain-storming sessions within their parties and changed their own perceptions of the public mind in Pakistan and the changes needed in improving their performance in the government, legislature and community. It's not 90's, 80's or 70's. Nor is the public nor the power dynamics same in 2014. I wonder if our political leaders have access to the knowledge of the modern day politics. Look at what the Republicans did in recent midterm polls; bringing the maximum number of pro-Republican voters to the polling stations and courting Asian Americans to change their voting ratio in favour of the Republicans.
@Rawalpindi Kid: Where were the enlightened millions when he was giving dharna. He kept calling out to people to come from all over, yet no more than a few thousand came, maybe you are one of those delusioned thousand. The majority of Pakistanis have shunned dharna politics by not coming out. Qadri is nothing more than a self serving greedy mullah preying on the innocence of his followers.
Killers of Model Town should be dragged on road on Lahore and then hanged on Miner-e-Pakistan,so that no one in future abuse its power.
It was extensively reported in the media, and is common knowledge that correct FIR about the Model Town massacre was t registered only on the intervention of the army chief, and no matter how briefly but he did play a part in the affair. As such, there is no reason to disbelieve Dr. Qadri's claim that the army chief had agreed to three of his demands being fair, which were 'Registration of an FIR for fourteen murders, formation of a JIT and resignation (temporary relinquishing of effective control which could influence investigations) of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif till completion of the investigation.' In consequence, an FIR was registered, against 21 persons including Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif for their responsibility in the Model Town massacre. Also, the commission investigating the June 17 Model Town incident held the government responsible for it and said police acted on government orders which led to the bloodshed. The report further stated that the affidavits of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and former law minister Rana Sanaullah contained contradictions regarding the orders they reportedly issued to police to disengage, and declared that what happened on the ground did not match their claims. As a matter of fact, stories were circulating at that time that Shahbaz Sharif's resignation was being discussed among the Sharif family members to relieve the pressure that was piling up against the government, and not without justification.
However, subsequently a joint session of the Parliament, which is not known for standing up that enthusiastically for the rights of 18 Pakistanis, jumped into action to extend full support to Sharif Brothers so that system may continue for the mutual benefit of all of them. Moreover, Nawaz Sharif was seen to be seeking frequent company of the army chief. Later, Dr. Tahirul Qadri discontinued his sit-in at Islamabad, though not his movement, and is presently abroad to generate funds and increase support for his revolution. And these factors have restored Sharif Brothers confidence, rather arrogance, to a degree that they have announced another investigation team with majority of members being their puppets, who will 'fix things up'. No wonder DR. Tahirul Qarir has rejected the new commission.
And in a strange move which is sure to cause widespread protests and violence, instead of any action being taken against the real culprits except for imprisosnng of Gullu Butt - arrest warrants have been issued against Dr. Tahirul Qadri, Imran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad and other leaders of PTI and PAT.
With Sharif government bent on mischief, and with earlier involvement of the army chief with the issue plus the fact that he is the only person who could avert the disaster, I think army chief has no choice left but to intervene and pave the way for the holding of any early, and more importantly, free and fair election. Failure to take appropriate action could subject army to the charge of passivity that Sheikh Rasheed often leveled, in his traditional style, against the army during the last government:, but with greater intensity this time and nearly the whole nation saying that.
Karachi
The movement stared by TUQ is not ending. It will continue, in a different form, and the whiners will just have to deal with it.
@Imran Qadri: LOL @ this "democracy" with its fake elections!
"Dr Qadri warned that if the justice is not served, the army might have to launch an operation across the country, warning that people could take up arms in revenge. “Army chief should also launch Zarb-e-Adal in Lahore and Islamabad or God forbid the country could descend into anarchy.”
He is talking as if he controls the army and can order them to do anything he wants.
@sHn: True. Ignorant ungrateful wretches.
TUQ needs medication for lies and delusions
free the people? you must be one of those stupid blind followers of his or was it employees?
Inshallah one day those responsible for model town brutality will be punished. We should support Qadri sahb for this cause. Those who say that his workers are blind follower are actually his blind opponents, i know PAT workers are well educated and have answer to every criticism on Qadri sahb.
Fooled me once shame on you, fooled me twice shame on me. Qadri has played this same game against Zardari's govt and failed not it is the repeat of the same the second time only this time he has nothing to show except dead bodies of his supporters. What a shame Pakistan is ruled by a remote control.
Thugs want military rule so that Pakistan become another Syria.
Extremism has caused a lot of irreparable damage to Pakistan that has been deeply rooted among majority of selfish politicians, mullahs and poverty ridden uneducated blind followers of 'god players'. This is becoming too late for a decisive action that should have been taken yesterday. If there is further delay in action that will take us to an existential risk as a nation and creation of civil war with 'Mukti Bahni' style Taliban and its supporters like PTI, PAT and other extremist groups. For heaven sake take swift action and fight the risk without any further delay.
@sHn: Stop speaking for Pakistanis , you agent masquerading as a Pakistani. Pakistanis believe in the rule of law. They don't believe in a preacher using violence , they don't believe in religion and politics of the toxic kind being espysed by the TUQ. He is not the "qibla" for Pakistanis
@sHn: lol and you are writing these comments from canada or all the way from PAT dharna at D-Chowk. Wait a second, your dharna is already over.
@ Ahmad and Bhalo. Speak for yourself. To me and millions of others, and yes eudcated and enlightened ones, Dr. Qadri speaks the truth. I credit him for bringing truth to the Pakistan public and enlightening them of this fake, corrupt, and incompetent democracy of PMLN and PPP. There is nothing wrong that I can find in his message which is right on. I hope he continues to expose these corrupt leaders and helps us get rid of them forever so Pakistan can finally progress.
Both cousins(Imran & Qadri) are back in action again ! One cousin is calling for MI & ISI for help while other cousin is calling army chief for help. Its ironic that they haven't learned a lesson from failed dharna drama and once again they will waste money of their investors and financiers in an attempt to achieve their nefarious & sinister plan against democracy.
They way he has done efforts is exemplary. Those who criticize should think who else could strive that much for the betterment of the country. Pakistanis must not lose this great leader or cry for another five or six decades being ruled by the children of NS and Zardari.
Seeing Qadri makes me feel that there is still some good fortune left with Pakistan. He has got the ability and vision to lift Pakistan from its currently hijacked state by the corrupt politicians and bureaucracy. He knows how to changing strategies with respect to situations. Undoubtedly has great caliber that has contributed to his International fame. But a lot depends on the Pakistanis if they do want to get rid of PMLN and PPP partnership.
All those criticizing him in the comments section, it's easy to sit in your bedroom writing such comments. Fact is he came to Pakistan and he TRIED to free the people from the Sharifs. His efforts should be appreciated irregardless of the outcome. Pakistanis are so unthankful.
TUQ Sb you have no creditability. NS frustrated your efforts and you left a sore loser. Leave Pakistan alone, we dont want your greed here
Sir Qadri Saheb: May Allah bless you with wisdom.. Please forgive the innocent, illiterate, blind-follower, and ignorant people of Pakistan, and leave us alone. We have enough of you..
