According to an official handout, Cameron invited PM Nawaz via telephone on Tuesday. The conference is being co-chaired by Cameron and Afghan President Dr Ashraf Ghani and will serve to reiterate the international community’s commitment to Afghanistan.
As one of Afghanistan’s most important neighbours, Pakistan’s participation at the highest level would serve to highlight its commitment to peace and stability in the war-torn country.
“Prime Minister’s participation in the conference would also enable the two leaders to discuss bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UK, and provide an opportunity for PM Nawaz to meet the Afghan president,” says the handout.

It is an opportunity for Nawaz Sharif to demonstrate to the world that he is in control of Foreign Policy & can deliver what he says at least with regard to Afghanistan. Push the Talibs for peace talks & finish this game of death & destruction. This is the only way to develop goodwill in Afghanistan and to get them off our back. Ghani is in China & I am sure he will be effectively presenting the sanctuaries & infrastructure of East Turkistan Islamic Movement together with the Amir ul Momineen Molla Umer of Emirates of Taliban. We don't want our all weather friends like China to point figures at us.
we are suffering in a situation and seems guilty to most of the nations . Despite of the fact that we are not involved in this disguating situation going on now a days . in pakistan , a lot of outer forces and evil doers are active and creating troubles for innocents pakistanis and affecting the image of pakistan. i ask to you why arw you here in my prestigious motherland ?
Now that the UK/US/NATO have created problems for 13 years in Afghanistan Mr Cameron, who is running short of funds, probably wants Pakistan to get involved and pick up the tab. Also I have a bad feeling that if the Afghanistan situation deteriorates, and it will, Pakistan will get the blame as usual. History has shown that Britain, who has rampaged around the world for hundreds of years creating devastation, eventually withdraws, blames the people who suffered and by using incredibly slick PR goes home smelling like roses. I sincerely hope that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has the good sense to stay at home. Although I admire Pakistan, it is not in the same league as the UK/US $2,000 dollar suited shysters in Whitehall and Washington.
