Kashmir dispute the root cause of hostility in the subcontinent: Bilawal

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party patron-in-chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said the long-running Kashmir dispute is the root cause of hostility and instability in the region.

"Much of the ensuing hostility in the subcontinent is due to the festering dispute of Kashmir," said Bilawal on Sunday, while addressing the National Youth Parliament’s session in the Sindh Assembly .

Bilawal’s speech comes after a lull in fighting between India and Pakistan following days of heavy shelling and gun battle across the border that has killed at least 12 people in Pakistan.

Reading out the United Nations Security Council resolution relating to Kashmir, Bilawal asserted the UN’s demand for “a plebiscite be prepared to decide the fate of Kashmir.”

“I wish the world would listen to Pakistan. Pakistan’s experience fighting terrorism, its struggle for democracy and the brutal occupation of Kashmir prove that had the world listened to Shaheed Zufliqar Ali Bhutto, had the world listened to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and had the world listened to Pakistan, today world peace would be more than just a dream,” said Bilawal.

This is not the first time the patron-in-chief has spoken about the Kashmir dispute. Earlier, while talking to his party workers in Multan, Bilawal vowed to take back all of Kashmir from India and not leave behind a single inch of it because it “belongs only to Pakistan”.

Accompanied by Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani, Bilawal also made the most of the youthful setting by taking a few jabs at the ruling party and PTI for their approach towards the 'future' leaders of the country.

"The youth is talked to and told what to do but not heard. The youth is pandered to with concerts and free laptops,” he said in an apparent criticism of the PML-N's laptop schemes and PTI's dharnas.

The patron-in-chief said that the youth of the country are critical players in defining the future and their energy needs to be harnessed for a prosperous, progressive and peaceful Pakistan.

BBZ obviously does not know aout Idhar Hum Udhar Tum attitude of his grandfather which led to millions of people in Pakistan(present day Bangladesh was Pakistan then) to be killed.

He also should answer the approz 1500 odd people killed in Karachi (where his party is ruling for last 6 years) each year in target killing - is it because of the Kashmir issue?

Are the Balochs seeking independence due to Kashmir issue?

Were Shias pulled out from the bus and killed repeatedly in Balochistan and GB under his government's rule due to Kashmir issue?

Are temples, churches, mazaars and mosques in Pakistan destroyed due o Kashmir issue?

Speaking about rest of the world; Is ISIS beheading the Kurds due to Kashmir issue?

Did Iraq attack Iran and later Kuwait due to Kashmir issue?

Did TTP bom 800 schools and shoot Malala due to Kashmir issue?

Did 9/11 happen due to Kashmir issue?

Are the problems in Russia/Ukraine border due to Kashmir issue?
