Eid holidays: Rescue 1122 to remain on alert

More than 400 rescuers will be on special duties

RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) will remain on alert during the Eidul Azha holidays and more than 400 rescuers will be on special duties at the district control room, emergency rescue stations. Moreover, according to a press release, 14 fully-equipped emergency ambulances, 10 fire-fighting vehicles, two rescue vehicles and a water rescue vehicle will be on call throughout the holidays. Rescue posts will be established at Chandni Chowk,Pirwadhai Mor, Civil Lines Station, Kalma Chowk Station, Bahria Town, GPO Chowk, Rawal Chowk, 22 No. Chungi, Tench Bhatta, Gawal Mandi, Liaqat Bagh, Nawaz Sharif Park, Jinnah Park and Ayub Park, the release stated. Additionally, the leaves of rescuers have been cancelled and they have been assigned special emergency duties to provide emergency medical, rescue and fire-fighting services during the holidays.
