General knowledge: Inter-college quiz competition held

The Defence Authority (DA) Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed (SKBZ) College organised the Karachi Intercollegiate Quiz Competition 2014 on Thursday.


Former Sindh governor Kamal Azfar was the chief guest on the occasion. The competition included three rounds, in which the questions were picked from a variety of subjects to test the students' general knowledge. Several dignitaries acted as judges on the occasion.


The Bahria College team, comprising Irfan Khan and Mishal Khan Siddiqui, was the winner of the competition. The second position was secured by the DA Public School O' and A' Level, Phase VIII, team comprising Syed Mushahid Raza and Maryam Zaidi. The team of DA Degree College for Men, comprising Abdul Basit and Talha Muhammad, won the third rank.


Azfar lauded the efforts of the DA SKBZ College for organising such a competition. He said that such competitions have great educational significance as it helps polish the inherent talent of the students and rekindle their passion and zeal for learning.
