Public service: MDGs will be achieved: Minister
The minister said more that Rs121 billion had been reserved for the provision of quality health services.

Excise and Taxation Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman said on Monday the government was committed to achieving millennium development goals (MDGs) of education and health sectors. “We are investing in health and education to improve the standard of living of people,” the minister told party workers who had called on him at his residence. He said the country could overcome terrorism by focusing on education. He said the government had been increasing its spending on education in the last six year, allocating Rs274 billion for the purpose. The minister said more that Rs121 billion had been reserved for the provision of quality health services.
