Justice Shahid Hameed Dar, a member of the full bench hearing a petition against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Azadi march, remarked in a very aggressive tone that the PM should go and talk to Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan.
Without naming anyone, Dar said “if he is not ready to listen to the premier, the government should get his house vacated.”
Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan, who is heading the bench, told Deputy Attorney General Naseer Bhutta that the government should have ideally initiated dialogue process before this petition was filed. Questioning what government has done so far to end the deadlock, Khan said “it seems the government has only erected barriers, placed containers and implemented Article 245 in the capital”.
The bench further told Punjab Advocate General Hanif Khatana that the government should “bow down to its opponents if needed for the country’s sake”.
The court adjourned the hearing of the petition till tomorrow, saying that the court will pass its final order if the suggestions by the bench members do not bear any fruit. The court also issued a notice to print and electronic media to attend tomorrow's proceeding.

@Ranjha: That's not a christmas tree. It's just a printed tie. Don't let your imagination run wild.
Justices!
If you give such advice you might be attacked again by the courtiers of the Baadshah. Remember the Supreme court attack?
And some say that Pakistan has pliant judiciary, and I say Pakistan's judiciary is as capable and assertive as any other judiciary in the world including US if given the chance to be independent. When I read news like this, it props up my feelings that we have judiciary like this which gives us hope for Pakistan and eventual democratic rule.
But I do not think that IK & Qadri will accept any request from PM or any else party because they both are on mission to destroy Pakistan.
Can a judge say that?
@Ghias: Lol what a signature statement....what have they done to address it, they have been around for decades?
PPP should come hard on these developments in the court. It cannot and should not sit on the fence when the public institutions start positioning themselves against the people. It is outrageous to see poor elderly and handicapped people crawling under the containers to go to their destinations. A cruel joke with the dignity of the Punjabi people. No matter what your political affiliation, a state stooping so low will not survive too long.
Which law school these judges went to? Seems like Iftikhar Chaudhry collected incompetent, corrupt, and the same sect judges as himself. The sect that is warring with every other sect and religion in Pakistan and across the world. In such situation we cannot expect a fair judgement from them.
Where were judiciary when Mubashir Luqman, Faisal Raza Abidi, and Zulfiqar Mirza wanted to be heared.
I mulk me sirf ek cheez azad he "La qanooniat"
@LHR:
Not at all, his sense of fashion is only slight better than his sense of governance!
In come the iftikhar Chaudhry's installed judges in LHC. Where were they when elections were being rigged and every media channel was showing evidence? where were they when punjab police killed 14 and injured 80 in model town? when the long march is done to save their jobs then its OK but if done otherwise it reminds them welfare of Pakistan.
The Judges should adjudicate on Law. Not go around trying to get people to negotiate. That is not their responsibility. Everyone loves interfering on others affairs.
@Ranjha: If this is the only fault you can find in PM......He must be the best PM Pakistan ever had!
@pervaiz: Excellent logical statement. Imran Khan and Qadri are responsible for the rampant poverty, illiteracy, injustice and corruption in the whole country since its inception 67 years ago.
“if he is not ready to listen to the premier, the government should get his house vacated.” You got a be kidding!
But I do not think that IK & Qadri will accept any request from PM or any else party because they both are on mission to destroy Pakistan.
@Imran Qadri:
The meeting will take place on 14th August. Don't be late!
judges are gone crazy ,involving itself in politics....they are supposed to give only non political jusgement
PM has already said during national security conference at PM house where all mainstream political parties were present that he is holding talks with these protesters and he won't even mind going to their home if they reciprocate his call for talks and negotiations. If other side is stubborn and their greed for power have made them rigid then in that case naturally PM can't do much. Maybe High court could suggest some other way or give a clear verdict against these violent protesters who have made lives of general public miserable.
The court needs to come down like a ton of bricks on IK to TuQ for adopting extra constitutional measures .
The recent WSJ reported that the new interest by European and American MNCs were the highest for Pakistan amongst frontier countries . But IK wants to reverse that! He has been an utter failure in KPK and wants to spread that failure to the rest of Pakistan
All hard work by pml on the economic front going down the drain by the miscreants IK and TuQ who have no regard for rule of law or judiciary??? Just see the reaction of the stockmarket.
How can the court ask the government to negotiate on miscreants??!?! What if the Tauliban come in a cavalcade to Islamabad? Then what???
plz tell who killed 14 innocents in model town on 17 june ?
Accept the offer immidiately
Are these judges goes crazy in love of NS??
Hilarious photo!!!! The PM of Islamic Republic of Pakistan is wearing a tie with a print showing X-mas trees lit with fairy lights!
This must be posted on Fakebook under the worst fashion faux pas! Any takers?
