Pakistan summons Afghan diplomat over cross-border attack
According to the statement issued by the ministry of foreign affairs, the Afghan Charge d’ Affaires was called to the Foreign Office and a strong protest was lodged over the cross-border attack on military post in Lower Dir area last night. At least seven terrorists were killed and 9 were injured as the attack was repulsed by the Pakistan military.
Pakistan urged the Afghan authorities, once again, to take effective steps to stop the use of Afghan territory for repeated cross-border fire and physical attacks by terrorists.
Pakistan would also take up the matter with the Afghan government at a higher level in the broader context of enhancing security along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

KPK & Sindh has no objectiono upstream dams as no province can steal water from it and will not inundate fertile lands. Kala Bagh is dead, long live Bhasha Dam.

Are you willing to incorporate the land currently in Punjab into KP that will be irrigated thru kalabagh dam namely miawali and adjacent are? If so then Kalabagh can be built. After all it is one Pakistan. If no, then don't even think about bulding Kalabagh dam.
@ali: For Godsake go and do some reserach on Kalabagh dont make it a dispute. It would help all provinces. India funding and changing the mindset of the people that kalabagh will ruin everything. @baby doll main sone di: Pathans of Pakistan are different from Muslims of India. Pathans are original inhabitants of the lands. Indian Muslims are Mujahirs mostly settled in Punjab and fleece the Pakistani society and are generally cowardly like Indians. Best example Musharraf and the other Generals like Zia who lost most wars. Pathans are known to be a fierce and highly temperamental warrior tribe of Pure Muslims.

@Alladitta: Pakistan got peanuts for hosting millions of refugees who are a burden on the social fabric of Pakistan. It needs to ficus on providing for its own citizens. Billions if not trillions were lost due to the instability caused by the Afghan war and the Afghan refugees. The little money for hosting refugees did not make up for a small fraction of what Pakistan spent and lost. Pakistan is not like the wealthy western nations where Afghans can smuggle themselves as refugees and live on social assistance. The wealthy western countries have welfare programs that can help unemployed Afghan refugees - Pakistan does not. The wealthy countries can deal with unemployed refugees living on welfare from Afghanistan whereas Pakistan cannot.

Pakistan Army is doing great job clear our land of terrorists. Whereas, Afghanistan is either not able to understand the sensitivity or are incapable. What Pakistan must do now is expand the operation across border. Enter into Afghanistan and kill terrorists. One thing more, it not hidden from anyone that terrorists operating in Pakistan are Indian sponsored with their training centers in Afghanistan. Pakistan really has to take care of that.

I wonder how either the Afghan or Pakistan diplomats can keep a straight face when Pakistan complains about cross border terrorism - same argument Afghan has been making for over a decade. @ajeet: Afghanistan has long allowed India to use it as a base for strategic depth but in the end it has only hurt common Afghans. What has 60 years of being an Indian puppet state brought Afghanistan? Nothing but instability and misery. The Afghanistan regime should rethink it's longstanding policy which successive governments there have followed. Pakistan needs to mine and fence the border to keep out all illegal instrusions from Afghanistan and deport the illegal refugees who are living in Pakistan.

Take back the Afgh & give it to a friendly Govt. They were fine until international troops landed with a thousand plus Indian "Divide-n-Conquer" Conspiring agents... 12 years ago. Protesting is not going to work with Afgh. Protest with India, if at all, with advising office there for the unwise leaders. Start a fence wall now, it's time, with lights like India has on Kashmir border. And Watchmen on high mud/termite towers they have. Afgh was never a friendly Govt.
