Mother, daughter paraded naked
A woman and her teenaged daughter were stripped and paraded naked by the sons of a landlord over a land dispute on Saturday, witnesses and the women said.
Nazeera Bibi, a daily wage labourer, had registered a case against the men.
Nazeera Bibi’s family owned a small parcel of land in Nahaalay Wala in Khanewal district. The land had been given to her by the landlord. A few days ago, the landlord’s sons ordered Nazeera to vacate the land. When she refused to do so, they destroyed the crops and ransacked their home on July 24.
Nazeera Bibi lodged a complaint with Abdul Hakeem police against five suspects.
On Saturday, the suspects learnt about the FIR and once again arrived at Nazeera Bibi’s home.
According to witnesses, they first beat up Nazeera Bibi and her 16-year-old daughter Maryam and then tore off their clothes.
The mother and daughter told The Express Tribune that they were paraded naked in the streets.
Some villagers informed Abdul Hakeem police, who reached the area and rescued the women.
However, their tormentors escaped from the area.
Abdul Hakeem SHO Rizwan Khan told The Express Tribune that an FIR had been registered against five men and their seven unidentified accomplices.
“We have arrested two suspects, who we believe were protecting the criminals,” he said.
Ahmed Bakhsh Ijaz, one of the men nominated in the FIR, told The Express Tribune that his family had not given any land to Nazeera Bibi. He said she had just occupied it. He denied the allegations levelled by Nazeera Bibi.

Seems like Pakistan is one of the worst places to be if you're a female. I doubt they would ever do that to a male
As we get too much sentimental without viewing the opposite side , The men paraded them naked and fled on arrival of police . Right , have you ever observed the Police Raid . Anyway it is common practice in villages that tenants occupy the land and later when asked to evacuate , as they were having no legal standing so their females use to tore off their clothes and lodges the complaint of rape attempt , parading naked and many such allegations .
I don't feel like celebrating Eid after reading this news.
Strip these men naked and beat them with lashes in front of rest of villagers to set an example of the outcome of their horrific crime of making the women parade naked.

The fact is whether they have given land to Nazeera Bibi or not but this kind of brutal act should be punished to the fullest extent regardless who they are. Don't these people have mothers, daughters or sisters, how would they feel if some one did to their women folks. The governing system in Punjab stinks in spite of their claims to be most educated province in the country. Time after time these people get away with these crimes and others are encouraged to do the same over and over again. By the way these people call them selves Muslims, there is nothing Muslim about this society. Oh Yeah, the Chief Minister will ask for a report and then nothing will happen as usual.
