Source of energy

Cholesterol-free

Rice does not contain harmful fats, cholesterol or sodium. Low levels of fat, cholesterol and sodium will help reduce obesity and the health conditions associated with being overweight.

Cancer prevention

Whole grain rice, such as brown rice is rich in insoluble fiber that can protect against many types of cancer. Besides fiber, rice also has natural antioxidants which also stimulate antioxidants to scour the body for free radicals. Earlier I commented that white rice was bleached...My mistake,

Actually, White rice is unbleached. it is processed, However a lot of the vitamins and minerals are removed during processing. White rice is produced by milling brown rice and removing the husk, bran, and germ.

Try unbleached 'brown rice'...rice looses most nutrients after is bleached to look like white.
