Probe opened: Doctor booked for trying to rape patient

The Balochistan Health Minister, taking notice of the incident has ordered an investigation into the case.

QUETTA: Police have arrested a doctor of Bolan Medical Complex (BMC) on Thursday for his alleged attempt to rape a 20-year-old female patient who was under treatment at Orthopaedic Ward. Balochistan Health Minister Rehmat Salah Baloch taking notice of the incident has ordered an investigation into the case. The patient lodged a complaint that she was admitted at the orthopaedic ward of the BMC, the largest hospital of Quetta when Dr Bilal Ahmed came for check-up and tried to rape her. “The doctor gave me an injection and tried to rape me,” she told the police in her statement. Brewery Police have arrested the doctor for investigation.
