No arrests have been made so far, though the police have registered cases.

Crime wave: 24 robberies reported in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Seven motorbikes, cash, gold jewellery, mobile phones and other valuable were stolen in over two dozen incidents across the city on Monday. A woman was also injured in one of the robberies.  According to details gathered by the police, armed robbers broke into a house in Chak 78-GB and took away valuables. They also shot and injured Nazia Kausar, the owner of the house, when she resisted. Robbers also took away motorbikes from Abu Bakar in Hafeezabad, Amir near Kotwali police station, Adeel in Chak Jhumra, Sufiyan near Rail Bazaar, Shoaib in Peoples Colony, Aslam near Koh-i-Noor and Aamir in Jhang Bazaar. Muhammad Zeeshan’s car was also stolen from Mansoorabad.  Cattle was also stolen from Mokha in Chak406-GB Khwaja Islam Road, Civil Lines and near the GC University. Robbers also broke into Shehzad’s shop in Mannanwala and cash and gold jewellery were robbed from Zulfiqar’s house in Tandlianwala, Junaid’s house in Haseeb Shaheed Colony, and from Dilmeer’s house in Jaranwala. Abdul Majeed, a resident of Sandal Bar, was also robbed.  No arrests have been made so far, though the police have registered cases.
