FIA asks election commission for Qadri's asset details

Election commission is yet to determine whether they will provide these details or not.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency has asked the election commission to provide asset details of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and its chief, Tahirul Qadri, Express News reported on Thursday.

In a letter to the election commission, the FIA said they were investigating the assets of PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri and his party, including details of assets declared when Qadri was a member of the National Assembly.

The election commission is yet to determine whether they will provide these details or not.

@Extreme: This news is regarding Mr Qadri, so I will limit my comments to Mr Qadri. I have written in the past that Mr Qadri must release his previous tax returns since the time he is in Canada. As a Canadian. Tax payer, you are supposed to keep your copies of tax returns. ( same is in USA). So Mr Qadri must not have any hesitation to release those copies. This is a common litmus tests in western countries to check the tax returns of politicians.
