Surraiya Azeem Teaching Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Imtiaz Ali on Wednesday said the hospital had brought down its admission fees to Rs50. Those unable to pay the fee would be provided treatment free of cost, Ali said.
He was giving a briefing at the hospital. Ali said 52 consultants were consulting patients in various departments at the hospital. As a trust hospital, the establishment primarily endeavoured to provide free or subsidised treatment to the poor, he said.
Ali said rates charged at the hospital were 40 per cent lesser than those charged at private medical facilities.
