KARACHI: The Federal Revenue Alliance Employees Union (FBR Union) has recommended that government workers donate a single day’s salary to internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan Agency (NWA). The letter was addressed to FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah.

In it, FBR Union central president Mian Abdul Qayyum announced on behalf of the workers of FBR that they are ready to donate their one-day salary for rehabilitation of IDPs of NWA.

Qayyum requested the chairman to officially announce this. The union leader also said that the whole nation, including FBR workers, is standing with the armed forces in their struggle to combat terrorism.

I have great sympathy for the N Waz IDPs.
But I hope they also never again rent their houses (no matter how lucrative) to foreign terrorists who then use their region to blow up Pakistanis in the rest of the country.

I hope the entire nation follow FBR employees, and the amount donated reaches the needy without being wired to personal accounts!
