Reshuffle: Punjab Police chief and Lahore DCO replaced

Muhammad Amlish, additional inspector general of Special Branch, has been transferred and posted as Balochistan IG.

Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera, a BS-21 officer of the Police Service of Pakistan, has replaced Khan Baig as the Inspector General of Punjab, a notification issued by the Establishment Division on Saturday said.


Former Food director Capt (r) Muhammad Usman Ahmed was also appointed district coordination officer of Lahore replacing Dr Ahmed Javed Qazi who has been made an officer on special duty, a notification by the Services and General Administration Department said. Baig has also been transferred and made officer on special duty. Sukhera has previously served in the Punjab as senior superintendent of Sargodha, Multan, Jhang and Gujranwala. Sukhera has also served as deputy inspector general of investigation wing in Lahore and additional inspector general of the Counter Terrorism Department.

Muhammad Amlish, additional inspector general of Special Branch, has been transferred and posted as the Balochistan IG.
