The Express Tribune has learnt that his fiance is a 17-year-old girl, Khansa Khan, who lives in Yorkshire with her family, who originally belongs to Junaid’s village in Pakistan, Swabi.
Junaid, who has represented Pakistan in 16 Tests, 46 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and nine T20Is, has been one of the consistent performers for Pakistan ever since making his international debut in 2011.
He is currently playing T20 cricket in England for Lancashire and has been enjoying a productive spell with 11 wickets for six matches.
“I’ll be getting engaged on the coming Wednesday to Khansa Khan, who is the daughter of my father’s business partner in England,” Junaid told The Express Tribune from England.

lol @Aizaa:
he is marrying a child
@Aizaa: hahahahaha
Shame on him for marrying such a young child. Even if it is legal.
You can marry once your 16 in the United Kingdom. So that is completely legal.
Its ENGAGEMENT not marriage. Some people need to open their eyes before passing on their disgusting opinions!
The legal minimum age to enter into a marriage in England and Wales is sixteen years although this requires parent consent if a participant is between the ages of sixteen and eighteen.
The good news is that they do not seem to be first cousins which bucks the trend of cousin marriages in the Pakistani diaspora in UK. The bad news is that there is a long wait to get spouse visa.
@Ashraf: he is the best current fast bowler for Pakistan, he does not need insurance policy. And UK laws cannot create trouble because the girl is not getting forced, she is willing to marry him, so there is no law being broken
@Ashraf: its engagement not marriage, i am sure there is no problem with engagement.
So he got himself an insurance policy in the form of a UK visa. But a 17 year old?? UK laws could create serious trouble for him.
