LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Racecourse SHO on a petition seeking a case against the former general manager of the Pearl Continental Hotel for allegedly embezzling Rs102,450,819. Petitioner Colonel (r) Shahzad Rafique Malik, the Human Resources director at the hotel, said Irshad Anjam was general manager at PC between 2006 and 2014. He said the audit report from 2014 revealed that Anjam had embezzled a large sum of money, due to which he was suspended and a departmental inquiry was initiated against him. He said the report established that he had acted in connivance with other staff. He asked the court to direct the SHO concerned to register a case against him.
