Human trafficking tragedy lingers on

The grieved families of the eleven drowned persons from Sialkot urged authorities on Tuesday to speed up the search for the dead bodies almost two weeks after their boat capsized in the Arabian Sea.

The men were being smuggled from Gwadar to Muscat when the boat carrying thirty one people capsized due to overfilling. Thirteen men drowned when the boat overturned while eight were rescued and brought back to their homes.

A search operation had been launched to find the dead bodies but their bodies have yet to be found.

Meanwhile, The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have arrested two traffickers who were involved in smuggling people across borders from Sialkot.

Sajid alias Humayun from Sialkot city, who was wanted by the FIA in as many as 25 separate cases of human trafficking, was one of those arrested according to the Deputy Director FIA Gujranwala.

The FIA also arrested another accused human trafficker, Saqib, from Sialkot and recovered from his possession seven different passports and other fake traveling documents.

Saqib had been running a travel agency in Daska and was either directly or indirectly involved in human trafficking, PPI reported.

Let us stop using police as bullies and generatos of social unrest due to their violence against citizens. Let us stop going to war before we talk about it and try to understand the other side. Let us assure that babies and mothers and children have less suffering in the future so that mothers and fathers can raise their children healthy and educated and humane. Let us stop international bullies such as Hillary Clinton from starting wars based on lies and personal gain. Let us care about each member of the human race and quit categorizing people by their religious or political beliefs but instead by their shared equal humanity. Let us stop sitting every day and looking for bad news but instead try to make good news ourselves by our own actions. Inshallah
