The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf urged the government to take serious notice and investigate Geo TV’s link with the Indian state television-- Doordarshan.
In a statement to the media on Tuesday, the party’s Central Information Secretary Dr Shireen Mazari called for attention towards the Executive Summary of the Media Commission Report – the Commission having been formed by the Supreme Court which established direct links of the organisation with Doordarshan.
Quoting the report Mazari said the ‘Amn Ki Asha’ programme was being funded by a Norwegian NGO—Friends Without Borders. However, after going into the background of the funding of this programme, it was found that the campaign was also supported by Indian sponsors including the Indian state television.
She said this raised the question of Geo working on foreign agendas and called for the government to take serious notice of the issue.

What a sad state of affairs. Do you want to keep fighting till day of Judgement. If it was funded by Norwegian NGO and supported by Doordarshan, how do you make it a conspiracy? Aman ki Asha was initiated with India, so including Indian stakeholders isnt a big idea. Btw, Geo initiated a "Khuda ke naam per" request too, for peace process with Taliban.
