No injuries: FBR official’s house attacked
The explosion shattered the windows of the house but no one was injured in the attack.
ISLAMABAD:
A cracker was thrown at a house in Sector I-8/3 on Friday night. According to the police, the cracker was thrown inside the house of Jahangir Manzoor, a Federal Board of Revenue employee. The explosion shattered the windows of the house but no one was injured in the attack. “It looks like mischief,” said the police officer. “There is no indication that Manzoor had any personal enmity.” Similar cracker attacks have taken place at houses in and around the capital in the past, but most of those attacks have been linked with extortion threats. Industrial Area SHO Qasim Niazi said there has been no progress in the investigation so far, adding that the police will send the debris and explosive material for tests and analysis. A case has been registered against unidentified persons.
