'Honour' Killing: Man, woman gunned down

SUKKUR: A man and a young woman were shot dead on the pretext of karo kari in Sheedi Mohallah, Jacobabad, within the jurisdiction of the Airport police on Monday. According to sources, Muhammad Hayat Brohi had gone to work in the fields and when he returned home, he saw his daughter-in-law, Gul Bano, talking to a man identified as Sikandar Ali Dasti. Brohi ran into the house, took out his gun and allegedly opened fire at Bano and Dasti, killing them on the spot. After the incident, he went to the police and surrendered. The bodies were taken to Civil Hospital, Jacobabad for a postmortem. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
