Blues dominate second day
Karachi Blues dominated the second day of their match against SNGPL as they increased their lead to 131 with nine wickets to spare before rain stopped play at the UBL ground. After the Blues bundled out the departmental side for a paltry 138, they managed 54 for one after making 215 in the first innings.
Ayub, Amjad keep Sialkot hopes alive
Mohammad Ayub and Mansoor Amjad helped Sialkot reach 215 for six after ZTBL managed 350 all out in their first innings on the second day at the Jinnah Stadium. Ayub remained unbeaten on 88 while Amjad was dismissed after a fighting 89 as the hosts struggled to match ZTBL’s score.
Arsal puts HBL on top
Khaqan Arsal hit a superb 156 and remained unbeaten at close on the second day as HBL batted Multan out of the game as the departmental side reached a mammoth 429 for seven in their first innings at the Multan Stadium. Arsal faced 196 deliveries in an innings that included 15 fours as HBL took a 289-run first-innings lead with two days still to go.
PIA trail with three wickets to spare
PIA made 199 for seven in their first innings in reply to hosts Islamabad’s 241 on the second day at the Diamond Ground. Kamran Sajid hit 65 and Shoaib Khan made 50.
WAPDA reach 226 against Faisalabad
Wapda reached 226 for six in reply to Faisalabad’s 273 all out at the Sports Stadium in Sargodha. Hasan Adnan made a half-century while Rana Naved contributed 31 to Wapda’s total.
