@Jahangir Chauhan: it can not be done until Karachi has its own representative city government with powers which the corruption party waderas will never let happen as for them Karachi is the place to loot. When one tries to talk about the rights of Karachi these waderas and their fake superman "leader" as usual starts crying Sindhi card. Quite frankly im sick of this biased feudal occupied system and trying to leave this country as early as possible. This city has no future it will be totally destroyed by wadera rule
A handful of powerful control the mini buses in Karachi. They are run as a mafia. No new comers are allowed to set up and if they do their properties are vandalized. To this day the CNG buses imported years ago continue to rot simply because the mafia does not allow the transport ministry to do so. People talk about the low fares mini bus owners charge: A- They are not cheap it costs them much lower B- Its a big amount to pay when you are paying to travel like animals. Rise against injustice Pakistan.
The whole system in Sindh needs a change. Starting from a local hawaldaar to the high ranked bureaucrats. Everyone is corrupt. Sindh needs a big change. This government is useless. They know what happens but they are still smiling. Tharpakar problem is due to their negligence. Everyday such tragedies will occur If no responsibility is taken.
Walking time bombs...Transport Mafia...they closed KTC long time back, never allowed green buses to succeed in Karachi, will keep paying bribes to Traffic Police so they can keep these mechanical traps on the roads...
And fueling with CNG, but charging for diesel...
Suo Motto anyone
Good governance...........is not be seen ANYWHERE.
Who is to be held accountable? Everyone knows.
@kamran Khan: Karachi progress means Pakistan progress. It's just not the mass transit system but so much miss governance made this beautiful city un controlable and unbearable city in different departments. Let's appeal to the government to do to make another Dubai or Brussels like city as it deserved all the care from government and the nation to revive this city of Quid and city of lights. There should be a stop in internal migration to this city for the next ten years at least, Improve the road condition, stop and eliminate all the 'batha mafia' which destroyed the fabrics of this great city and then sincerely clean all the mess one by one. Government and agencies needs to come forward to take hard decision otherwise Sind government seems incapable to do it.
Sindh govt is corrupt to the core,. The federal govt wants to take no responsibility for Karachi. No one is doing their job right.
as long as karachi residents dont do something this will continue.
A mega metro like Karachi deserves a mass transit system like any civilized city of the world however the wadera government has been blocking the way of Karachi Circular Railway revival offer by Japanese because of no scope of corruption and because of its hatred towards Karachi which it treats like an occupied territory.
look at the number of CNG cylinders !!!
This is what happens when traffic police deptt take bribes and issue driving licenses to people who are reckless drivers and know nothing about road safety. I remember a Television program in which a blind man got his licence made by bribing an official of police dept.
Police still sleeping,50 years old Buses will be on the road, so these accidents will be every day, God bless us,,
