Accident in Karachi's Khadda market injures 9

KARACHI: A minibus toppled over in Karachi on Tuesday, injuring nine people including a woman and a child, Express News reported.

The incident took place in Khadda market, which is located in Defence Phase 5.

The injured were taken to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment. It was reported that the cause of the accident was the negligence of the driver, who managed to flee after the accident took place.

Pakistan has one of the world’s worst records for fatal traffic accidents, blamed on poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving. In recent days, the country has witnessed sharp rise in the number of such deadly accidents.

@Jahangir Chauhan: it can not be done until Karachi has its own representative city government with powers which the corruption party waderas will never let happen as for them Karachi is the place to loot. When one tries to talk about the rights of Karachi these waderas and their fake superman "leader" as usual starts crying Sindhi card. Quite frankly im sick of this biased feudal occupied system and trying to leave this country as early as possible. This city has no future it will be totally destroyed by wadera rule

A handful of powerful control the mini buses in Karachi. They are run as a mafia. No new comers are allowed to set up and if they do their properties are vandalized. To this day the CNG buses imported years ago continue to rot simply because the mafia does not allow the transport ministry to do so. People talk about the low fares mini bus owners charge: A- They are not cheap it costs them much lower B- Its a big amount to pay when you are paying to travel like animals. Rise against injustice Pakistan.
