The moment the criminal’s index finger wrapped around the trigger for a second time to shoot sub-inspector Aftab Qayyum again, his wife lunged in front of him.
The two criminals were so shocked to see her protecting her husband in this manner that they left immediately. The second shot never came. But the first one had pierced through Qayyum’s chest and he passed away on the spot - right in front of Nuzhat’s eyes at Nagan Chowrangi on February 17.
“I used to tell him that the finger prints he collects and the investigation he does might one day land him in trouble,” says the devastated Nuzhat. “He never listened. He always told me to stop being scared and to be brave.”
That fateful evening, two clean-shaved men riding a bike came towards them, shot him without saying anything. Nuzhat, for all her bravery, couldn’t save her husband.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon! Everyone has to face death one day but if someone dies for a noble cause he has fulfilled the purpose of life. I have no doubt about his being in Jannah in sha Allah.
Another man falls in "greater interest" of the nation. The Government authorities know very well who is behind these killings but is not going after them.
hmm... Nagan Chowrangi.. last time I went there I saw many red, green and white flags there :)
Inna Lilah e Wa Inna Elaih e Rajion
Everyday we are writing unforgettable stories, may she is bestowed with patience
God God grant him paradise and his family sustenance.
What a brave lady. May Allah give her strength to bear this irreperable loss. Lives of cops are as precious as everyone else. Measures should be taken to ensure such incidents don't recur.
Right, of all the identification features, the report points out the men being clean-shaved. That should help the police catch the culprits!
Our Police is so much undervalued for the sacrifices it is giving to the nation. Our country is investing money in Military whereas this primary law enforcement agency is left under-resourced. These brave officers are not given plots in defense nor are they inducted without merit in the civilian institutions. They are truly the unsung heroes of the nation. It is high time to realize the vital role of Police and hence to strengthen them economically to be able to get at least the arms, ammunition and equipment to safeguarded their own lives.
Only True Love has this much power.... May his soul rest in peace... Oh Lord just finish those beasts who are teasing ur kids...
