Airport upgrade: 12 new immigration counters set up

The Federal Investigation Agency has increased number of immigration terminals at Allama Iqbal International Airport.

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency has increased the number of immigration terminals at Allama Iqbal International Airport. Previously, the FIA had 14 immigration counters at the airport. FIA Punjab Director Usman Anwar a computer system had also been installed at all counters. He said officials from the FIA zonal office had been deputed to man the counters. He said old surveillance cameras had been replaced. He said a log system had been installed at the airport. Anwar said Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Khan and the FIA Director General Ghalib Ali Bandesha had visited Allama Iqbal Airport and issued instructions for upgrading immigration surveillance. Anwar said FIA staff had been unable to monitor passengers travelling to Lahore because of the large number of people learning from the airport.
