The Pakistan Army will donate one day of its food rations for those affected by the drought in Tharparkar. According to the ISPR, the ration will be delivered to homes in each village and will provide up to 15 days of food supplies for each family.
Additionally, on the prime minister’s directives, relief efforts have been speeded up, with the number of medical camps in the region increased to nine. The ISPR says that mobile medical and food supply teams have reached the areas of Danahi, Majhniti and Chachro. Similarly, nine medical camps have been established in Mithi, Islamkot, Diplo, Virawah Nagarparkar, Chachro and Khinser. Seventeen army doctors, including lady doctors and child specialists, have also treated 7,139 patients over the last three days and 240 tonnes of ration have been distributed so far.
