It is time to celebrate that Pakistani nuclear efforts have been widely recognized at the international front. IAEA is an international body to maintain the nuclear affairs of the world. This visit appreciates the Pakistani efforts in the nuclear domain. It is also an answer to all those which are bend on criticizing Pakistan nuclear weapons program.
IAEA is an international organizing in safeguarding and maintain the nuclear safety and security throughout the globe. The very visit itself is an acknowledgment of Pakistani efforts in safety and security. The country is very cautious in assuring the safety measures of the international standards. This is a big achievement of all the day and night efforts of all the scientists, engineers, researchers and policy planners.
The IAEA recognition of Pakistan’s nuclear efforts towards safety and security is really an appreciable move. It is an acceptance of all the hard efforts which Pakistani nuclear related authorities made since the day of inception. They have experienced lots of criticism and questions but continued with hard work to make Pakistan nuclear assets security spotless. Although its non-signatory member of NPT, the efforts made are primarily voluntarily which is also need a big applause.
O my God, made in China nuclear reactors next door. Now I AM worried.
Despite facing various kinds of embargoes to obtain nuclear equipment, Pakistan will continue to develop its civil nuclear capability in a bid to diversify its energy mix and overcome power crisis. Pakistan is now using third generation nuclear equipment and that is 500 times safer as compared to the equipment installed in Fukushima and Chernobyl where nuclear accidents took place. The Pak China nuclear cooperation on Karachi Nuclear Power Plants will certainly facilitate the country to get rid of the energy crisis and give a boost to economy of the country.
Its very much true that major percentage of Pakistan's nuclear program is being utilized for the civilian purposes such as in the field of medicine, agriculture and food preservation. It since the first nuclear weapon test has established a proper regulatory body and adhere itself to the international norms and standards of non-proliferation. @unbelievable Kindly make it clear that at the time of AQKhan, he was the sole individual who had the knowledge of nuclear technology and was responsible for the nuclear activities. But in 1998 when Pakistan conducted its first nuclear weapon test soon NCA was established and later on SPD was maintained as a responsible for any kind of activity related to nuclear weapons. Since then no act of proliferation from the Pakistani side has been reported. Latest meeting between IAEA and PM shows the responsible behavior of Pakistan.
Government of Pakistan has been successful in initiating comprehensive plans to eradicate energy crisis. Pak-China nuclear cooperation is 1st step in this regard. This plan completely follows IAEA guideline.
Indian Hindus should build a temple for Dr. A.. Khan. Indian muslims may build a Minar instead or name a mosque after him and followers of all other religions in India should also bestow their highest honor for Dr. AQ Khan. Dr. Khan should be revered and worshipped more in India than in Pakistan because it is Dr. AQ Khan who gave the permanent advantage to India in nuclear technology. It is only due to his proliferation activities that US and the West made a clear differentiation between India and Pakistan, and started to favor India and punish Pakistan. If the names of the Generals who were part of Dr. A.Q. Khan proliferating network are known, they should also be honored by all Indians.
@imran bhatt: Says who? The Americans? The Americans are the biggest proliferators of nuclear technology in the world.
That said, everything Pakistan did was for a reason. So what if we can nuclear power tech to Iran or North Korea; Americans have done the same to Israel. Its just simply that American propaganda was easy for everyone to accept, much like the terrorism bogey of 9-11.
@imran bhatt: burning....
I suggest Sharif look up the definition of non-proliferation. It's common knowledge that AQ Khan sold nuke technology to N Korea, Libya and Iran - the fact that AQ Khan remains a national hero tells you that Pakistani people/govt have no concerns over nuclear proliferation.
I am very afraid to having knowlege that Pakistan is a nuclear armed state but facing power shortage, our policies has been failed to moving toward direction direction, We in the past have prefered to other projectb which left behind personal and political interests.
It is dire need of the time we prefer the policies which are indespensable for our pure national interests not personal or poilitical gain.
It's true that Pakistan's nuclear technology is for civilian use. AQ Khan was a civilian after all.
Why he saying the silly things such as "civilian porpoises"? I thinking that our nuclear weapons is to protects ourselves from the big evil thingy called INDIA, that always wants to attack us (4 times + Kargil, if I remembers my high school histories correctly). Whereas we is nations of peace even if some of our guys are scary lookings because of big beard hairs and large turbanny things on head. Also, nuclear weapons is to help us help KASHMIR, because one thing we definitely love to do is worry about welfares only of Muslims, and that too only those in other countries.
Says the PM of the biggest proliferating country in the world.
Man Sahib is taking every step in the right direction. Long live Man Sahib.
