According to a police official, Sana* and Nadia* were kidnapped in December 2013 from Kunyal area of Fateh Jhang and then brought to the provincial capital of K-P.
“We have arrested two people, Sher Afzal and Kulsoom, and during interrogation they revealed the girls were sold to a man named Akbar Ali in the city,” said the policeman.
He added the Peshawar police had started the investigation after Attock police contacted them. He further said the police had initiated a search for the main accused in order to recover the girls.
Explosives recovered
Explosives and various materials used in the making of explosives recovered from an alleged militant were shown to the media by Gulbahar police on Tuesday.
The militant identified as Adil, a resident of Toti Khel, Badhaber, was arrested a few days ago from Nishtarabad. Three bags of explosives, three-metre prima card wires, two passports bearing different names, several fake ID cards and letterheads of the Mohmand Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) Pakistan and TTP were allegedly recovered from Adil.
“This is an important breakthrough as this man worked in a medical centre and continued his sabotage activities in the area,” said a police official of the local police station.
