Most of the country’s issues will be resolved by the imposition of the Sharia law, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) General Secretary Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said on Thursday.
Speaking at the Tahafuz Tehzib-e-Islam Conference, Maulana Haideri said that 70% of the country’s issues could be resolved if Sharia was imposed. “If Sharia is not implemented in the country, it wouldn’t survive further,” he said, adding that they would never let the country become a secular state.
The JUI-F general secretary said his party was struggling to establish peace in the country. He further argued, “People who are unfamiliar with the tribal traditions are made part of the peace committee”.
Haidri proposed that implementing Sharia in the country was the only way to peace. He stated that if the Islamic sections of the 1973 Constitution were followed in letter and spirit many national issues could be resolved.
The JUI-F leader also lashed out at Imran Khan, saying that the PTI chief had promised to make K-P an exemplary province for others to follow suit. However, “vulgarity, immorality, land mafia, corruption and other malpractices are their peak in the province.”
Haidri added that if this was the exemplary province Imran had promised it was unacceptable for the JUI-F and that the party would make all its efforts to resist Pakistan becoming a secular state.
Independent sources claimed that Maulana Fazlur Rehman could not attend the conference due to security threats.
Ghoor Haidri was flanked by vice provincial president JUI-F Attaur Rehman, former Senator and district leader of JUI-F Swat Rahat Hussain.

Sharia (just like its sisters like Hassidic Judiasm, Mormon Christianity and Wahibi Islam) represents some of the worst of mankind, because its patriarchy represses women and natural, healthy lifestyles. Look at the nations and regions which practice Sharia and you will notice the shocking correlation to poverty, lack of civil rights, and repression.
@vaqas:
You must have a higher IQ then! Please tell us what is 'Sharia' and ' Secularism' in few words? Your legnthy narrative is not necessary Sir..

I have always wondered about these moulvis sharia beginning with vulgarity and immorality, and pretty much ending there as well. They are like the fashion police of the east. Maybe the better way to do that would be to participate in the fpw and show off their wares for the public to decide whether the sharia peoples dress is worth another look or not. And as far as ending problems of the country by handing it overto taliban and its sympathisers is concerned( so they could bring in there hegemony and call it justice), that is not something any sane person of any religion would be willing to do. So the only two options i see for the taliban is 1) either they give up their weapons and start assimilating into the society and work for the better of this country 2) continue their barbaric ways , oppose the constitution and be punished according to the law of the land. There is no third option. As far as secularism is concerned let the sane and more knowledgable people work that out among themselves. You moulvies have too low an iq to even comprehend definitions much less the essense of big words like secularism.

Maulana Halwa is habitual of poking himself every where just to gain his popularity. Can also expect from him demanding God for imposition of Sharia in the next world where everyone has to go
Sharia law is a great way to remove the brains of man and the spirit of mankind.
Agreed mate but it should be the actual sharia..not the talibans version of wahabi sharia!
Please bring Sharia to your personal lives before worrying about bringing it to whole country. And that will start from refraining worldly gains, which certainly is not a hallmark of JUI (F),
