Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to visit Lahore next month: Wattoo

PPP Punjab President says PPP would continue its struggle to build a democratic and pluralistic Pakistan.

Pakistan Peoples Party chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will visit Lahore early next month to meet party leaders and workers, Pakistan People’s Party Punjab President Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo told office bearers of Narowal and Hafizabad organisations on Tuesday.


Wattoo said party leaders and workers were anxiously waiting for the forthcoming visit.

He emphasised the importance of mobilisation at the grass roots level. He said the PPP would continue its struggle to build a democratic and pluralistic Pakistan according to the vision of its founding fathers.

He said the government had made false promises during its election campaign.

The delegation from Narowal, led by former federal minister Tariq Anees, called on Wattoo with with other office bearers.

They informed him of the PPP’s position in the district.

They also presented suggestions to organize the party. The delegation from Hafizabad reviewed the election results of the May 2013 elections with a view to restructure the party so that it could emerge as a political force again.

They emphasized the importance of holding public meetings. Punjab Secretary General Tanvir Ashraf Kaira was also present in the meeting
