According to media reports the Nawaz told reporters that the armed forces of the country were supportive of the peace initiative by the government. He hoped for positive outcome of the talks.
Having arrived in Turkey for the Afghanistan-Pakistan-Turkey Trilateral Summit on Wednesday, said that democracy and stability in Afghanistan were vital for peace in Pakistan.
About Pakistan India relations, the Prime Minister said the situation along the Line of Control has improved after a meeting of the Director Generals of Military Operations of both sides, where it was agreed that neither side will resort to any firing.
He said Pakistan has also urged the United Nations to play its role in helping resolve the Kashmir dispute. He said Pakistan wants the issue resolved and has also asked India to come to the negotiating table.
Nawaz said he also discussed the matter with the US president Barak Obama during his visit to the United States.
