Bomb threat at Excise and Taxation office in Lahore

Express News reports that a suspicious car has been taken into custody.

LAHORE: A bomb threat at the Excise and Taxation office in Lahore was reported on Wednesday.

Express News correspondent Sajjad Shafiq reported that a suspicious car was taken into custody but no one came to claim it.

The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) has reached the office and is searching inside the car for the explosive materials.

The office building has been emptied in light of the situation.

Previous bomb scares

Two bomb threats in Karachi were cleared by the BDS on February 6.

It was reported that information was received regarding the presence of two bombs at the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board Head Office as well as the Sindh Industrial and Trading Estate (SITE) area of the city respectively.
