New record: The Lyceum School wins Harvard MUN

The Lyceum School renders a new record as the first team from Pakistan to win Harvard MUN amongst 36 countries.

KARACHI: With four ‘Best Delegate’ awards and two ‘Honourable Mentions’, The Lyceum School’s Model United Nations team snagged the ‘Best International School’ Award at Harvard MUN 2014 in Boston, USA.

Over 3,000 delegates were present from across 36 countries at the Harvard MUN this year. The team has rendered a new record as the first team from Pakistan to win this prestigious award. The best delegate awards were won by Muqadus Tabraze, Huma Nazir, Mir Mohammad and Usman Malik and, the honorable mentions were won by Nayab Aman and Hamza Moihuddin. Zorays Moazzam and Aleemuddin Alavi were also part of the eight-member delegation.

The team was accompanied by faculty member Ayesha Samad.

@HSMatey: Just to clarify your concern. We won the 'Best International Delegation Award' at Harvard MUN 2014 so that is indeed categorised as 'winning the MUN', here's the link for sceptics like 'Lies', who don't believe this: http://www.harvardmun.org/
