Pakistan has been ranked second in the world in terms of business growth in a survey, conducted by the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO).
The current survey - which examined records of 9,371 Japanese firms operating across the world - put Pakistan just behind Taiwan in terms of business generated; leaving behind both India and Japan, media reports said.
Pakistan’s data was generated from 27 Japanese firms doing business here. The results found that 74.1% of the Japanese companies estimated operating profit in 2013, allotting second rank to Pakistan only after Taiwan (81.8%).

The article showns the growth of 'Japanese' companies around the globe. Honda, Toyota, and Isuzu did excellent busines last year as many vehicles were bought in the run up to NATO's departure from the area. Also, majority of the vehicles bought by Afghanistan government are bought via Pakistan. THAT IS IT. Stop misleading peaple as if there has been some business growth because of government policies etc.
Technically, this is news about 'Survey of Japanese-Affiliated Companies in Asia and Oceania (FY 2013 Survey).' While discussing sales forecast and expected operating profits of Japanese Companies operating in Pakistan, the report states that 'Looking at the results by country, the percentage for Taiwan is the highest (81.8%), followed by Pakistan (74.1%)...' The sample size for Pakistan was just 27 companies which is too low to be taken as a measure of business activity in Pakistan. I am not being pessimist, rather being realistic and working harder to improve the situation is the way forward. Being complacent is not the solution. Long-live Pakistan.
@Ahmad: There is lot to be expected from this govt and lots will be delivered as well. This survey means that Japanese Companies are growing so we must start analyzing their policies rather then criticizing the whole survey.
I bet my life Indian readers will find some way to bash Pakistan on this. They are very creative when it comes to bashing.
So not just politicians, bureaucrats, judges etc, Pakistani companies are getting richer too. But where is common man?
Right then. Popcorn, anyone?
This survey shows the unlimited potential and the resilience of the Pakistani economy even in not so good times. This survey will help in getting more FDI to the country in future.
This is amasing acheivment of current Dr.Nawaz's government without baisness..
