Five young brothers and their sister were killed in the blast.
Explosive material had reportedly been placed in a heap of garbage outside a house in the area.
The house was owned by resident Haji Gul, whose children were killed in the blast.
Police officers secured the scene of the blast while the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) combed the area for more explosives.

@Ch. Allah Daad:
Good point sir, they are all the same! They should be exiled to the land where the pepper grows!.

Unfortunately, our political leaders were more moved to register an FIR on a drone strike on militants in Hangu, rather than the myriad of bombings by militants, and probably including this one.
@Ch. Allah Daad: Imran Khan isn't the prime minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif is and he has proven to be useless. Congratulations to the people who voted for him.
@Altaf qureshi: Poinint fingures at political leaders and getting rid of them will never solve our problems. Blaming Nawaz Sharif for our problems is no different than if I blame Imran Khan for all our problems.
This vary land produced the first grammar of just 40 pages by Panini ,there vary land was known for prosperous wealth and love,this very land was home to soldiers who fought powers from alexander to 8th century barbarians.This vary land provided first ideological thinking to the world,blessed with oceans of knowledge and mathematical sciences . Alas, Arab culture has destroyed it .
It's NOT about religion ,its about the land which your forefathers saved from century without attacking any other country and their virtues :)
Oh my GOD..... Cannot imagine the grief of their parents..
Very sad news.
I Don't know what to say :(
Rings a bell down the memory lane! In late 1980's when soviet forces were withdrawing completely from Afghanistan, toy bombs and land mines maimed majority of the population there especially children and the result was a crippled nation not only physically but emotionally as well. I remember Lady Diana led an active compaign against these lethal landmines. More than 20 years after that, now it is our turn to taste the same dose because another force is "partially" withdrawing. We have lost generations to this Afghan madness, is there any end to all these follies?
Blasts in Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar and other cities of their provinces. No blasts in Lahore?
When will this bloodshed end? Nawaz sharif has proven that he is a useless leader, first the economy, and now terror. Pakistanis must unite and overthrow these demons. (Both nawaz sharif and the Taliban).
