Agriculture: Bosan welcomes Saudi investment

Bosan emphasised the need for enhancing trade and economic relations between the two countries.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research (MNFSR) Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan welcomed the investment by Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Company (SALIC) in livestock and agriculture sectors of Pakistan.  He said all possible facilities, support and incentives would be provided to the Saudi Company in this regard. SALIC CEO Abdullah Al Dubaikhi said that the company was interested in making long-term investments in different areas of agriculture in Pakistan mainly in the fields of livestock, wheat and rice production. MNFSR Secretary Seerat Asghar said that Pakistan offered investment friendly policies enabling foreign investors to acquire profit. Bosan emphasised the need for enhancing trade and economic relations between the two countries. “The time is ripe for both countries to promote investments which will further cement bilateral trade relations,” he said, adding that both countries need to identify the available opportunities and assess the areas for future collaboration.
