Atif Aslam to make Bollywood debut

Atif Aslam set to follow in Ali Zafar's footsteps, signs three film deal with Tips in Bollywood.

Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has been wowing Bollywood with his voice for a while, and will now be making his acting debut too.

Times of India reports that Atif Aslam has been signed on by Tips' head Kumar Taurani for an upcoming movie and he will be playing the lead role in it.

Atif, who already has a five-year singing contract, has signed a three-film deal with Tips.

The first movie in the series will be directed by the associate director of Prince, and shooting for the film will begin in 2011.

Atif Aslam is the second Pakistani musician turned actor to star in a Bollywood film, Ali Zafar being the first. Ali Zafar starred in the movie Tere Bin Laden and is now starring in his second Bollywood film alongside Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan.

He or she often says that comparing Pakistan with India is an insult to India OR Pakistan is nothing etc... but seems to have been spending hours on our newspaper websites. Have I ever written anyting on any Indian newspaper? I don't hate India but I am not too fond of it to make an effort to visit its newspapers websites and comments.

But judging from his charity work for pakistan and his recent series of songs on pakistan's situation, I don't think he will be doing it anytime soon. Atif aslam's generation is actually little different from Adnan Sami's. They are more patriotic because of this extreme sensitivity towards Pakistanis. And it's on a rise due to a continually deteriorating Pakistan's situation. And this is not an observation, I am part of the same generation and can vouch for that.

One ostracizes him as not being Pakistani enough the other claims that he will forget Pakistan when he becomes rich and famous. The PROBLEM with the Pakistani male is that they tend to surface their insecurities when ATIF ASLAM & ALI ZAFAR are climbing their way too success . You have when one @Anoop who says he should request for Indian citizenship. He cannot earn much in Pakistan anyway. If he accepts India then the money he earns stays in India.....great advice to do it the illegal way! It is refreshing to know that ATIF ASLAM & ALI ZAFAR do'nt depend on the crappy advice these hand out! Art and culture has no boundaries, it don't matter if your from India or Pakistan if there is talent the public will follow. Good lucks will also have the female population make the public grow.
