NOWSHERA: The chief minister’s monitoring cell has ordered an inquiry against the Nowshera education department’s assistant director planning and development over the presence of dysfunctional schools in the district. Members of the cell conducted a surprise raid on newly-constructed schools on Thursday and later ordered an inquiry against the education department after finding several ghost schools. Malik Ibrar, a member of the monitoring cell, said they launched the raid to monitor the education department’s performance and check status of schools constructed during the former government’s tenure.
