Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor has been named the brand ambassador of QMobile, the largest selling mobile phone company in Pakistan. Mrs Saif Ali Khan is endorsing QMobile’s flagship Noir Quadcore Z4.
The move to bring Kareena on board is the brainchild of Chairman and CEO QMobile Zeeshan Akhtar.
"Kareena Kapoor is a brilliant actress," Akhtar says on his decision to make Kapoor QMobile's brand ambassador.
The 33-year-old will feature in Pakistan’s most expensive mobile advertisement to date, which will be shot in Thailand, according to Hindustan Times.
This isn’t QMobile’s first ad to feature a Bollywood star. The mobile company earlier signed actor Aditya Roy Kapoor, of Aashiqui 2 fame, as its Brand Ambassador, and the ad was much appreciated in Pakistan.

@Ali: What do you mean they look like cheap Chinese "knock offs" ? They are actually cheap Chinese knock offs but unbeatable for that price. Quit complaining and buy an original iPhone / Samsung for 4-5 times the price.
@Imkan Batt امکان بٹ: Then you could have put a maulavi on billboards with a mobile in his hand saying this mobile is Islamic and halal.....haha...poor muslims.
Stealing the jobs of pakistanis.
@Sara: Hi Sara where you been? Miss your comment on ET. BTW this comment is bit odd with your previous comments. Singh ET Please.......
bebo.... why not any chinese model ?
She will be brand ambassador for qmobile Z4 . Couldnt they find a pakistani superstar ? Z4 in that price range is certainly not a good option. http://goo.gl/uSIli2
qmobile should focus on low end market like they used to.
Now they are getting more expensive every day.
@Sara Khan:
what you write is true. women used as sex objects to boost sales. consumerism combined with moral decadence. but nobody seems to mind it, in fact everybody loves it. maybe i do too. so why should we complain. hire sunny leone for all i care
for a local lawn she has been on billboards here before.
@optimist: Very well said! @
For one who knows squat about mobile phones could someone tell me if the Q molile is a Pakistani product or a Chinese product ?.............Kareena Kapoor is decidedly a great product and it matters not where she was made.
If only they diverted a fraction of what it'll cost them to make this ad and then to air it, to their R&D department. I'm sure nobody would mind paying a bit extra for their phones if they knew they were getting a quality product.
I also want to buy a Q Mobile now
Will this be banned too?
Qmobile produces very cheap phones and all they spend is on these expensive ads which are of no use to the consumer. Improve the quality of your product now that you are one of the best selling brands in Pakistan.
What QMobile is doing is really great. Waiting for kitkat from Qmobile soon
Are these the same maulvis in Gujranwala that have the greated porn collection in Gujranwala & the surrounding areas?
@sana, for heaven saik stop bashing for soothing your self esteem.especially after shunning this country for your own good. Should have stayed back , if u wanted to change this society, mere writing 4 to 5 lines full of venom wont change anything.
So what? she is already residing in everyone's living room, in everyone's heart so let her be on the bill board.
@Imkan Batt:city molvis throw black paint on the faces of the modles on the billboards, this is the worth of these billboards then they go and download porn?
bought a new Q Mobile Noir A50 sold it after just 2 weeks. Q Mobile sucks...I wonder why they are spenting so much money on just advertising, I bet if they spent just half of it to improve the quality of device, it will certainly gain more business for them...
Its marketing, these companies pay alot of money to these celebrities to attract customers.... nothing wrong with it.
And bebo worked hard to get to where she is... so my fellow Pakistanis, stop whining and get to work (hard)....
@Imkan Batt امکان بٹ: Which city is this? I know maulvis in Gujranwala give out flyers EXTENSIVELY and in Haripur you get shouted at if you don't cover your face even though I do hijab and abaya... :/ thank God I don't live in Pakistan anynore with the extensive conservatism that is plaguing our lives and this is the result of Zia ul Haq but also because influence of Saudi Arabia and when the industries step too far....for instance now because of the fashion industry people are writing petitions to shut Internet access, ALL films and television dramas and most definitely fashion industry because models wear revealing clothes and short dresses now....thank you to the fashion industry rather than appeasing the masses with decency you have alienated us and have made the conservatives more powerful and now wanting to close down everything :/ way to go! ......ET post this and let these people read how majority feel!!!!! Btw in Haripur and Khanpur they've also shut down cables so you don't get any dramas coming in most areas and they definitely have banned any form of entertainment outside of Pakisan to be seen :( also they tell us that there is no such thing as culture and you can't salute Pakisan flag or sing anthem as its against Islam... ET better post this!!!!!! This is only one particular sect doing this more than any other one
@Saad yesterday i messaged the same to atif aslam, rahat bhai and veena malik.
Mubashar lucman must be disappointed.
@Imkan Batt امکان بٹ
Actually it shows the worth of the molvis
not that i am against it, but can't we find and promote our own talent?
From Lawn adverts to mobile. Bebo sure getting her level higher.
@ Rahul, Q-mobile is a cheap brand and their service is similar to B-movie experience..... they needed to match the face with their service!
@Ali: What do you expect in that price range? iPhone 5S? Galaxy S IV?
LOL .. They dint get anybody in Pakistan ?
Do you know in my city molvis throw black paint on the faces of the modles on the billboards, this is the worth of these billboards
They should first try to improve the design of their devices, which look like cheap Chinese knockoffs when compared with international counterparts
