PESHAWAR: The Frontier 4x4 Club in collaboration with the Sarhad Tourism Corporation will hold a water cross event at the Indus River in Swabi on Sunday.

The event has been occurring annually for four years on the banks of the Indus in Swabi in December, followed by a snow cross in Malam Jabba, Swat in February.

Talking to The Express Tribune, Frontier 4x4 Club President Baber Khan said they established the club for off-roaders four years ago to provide members a platform for adventure amid daily worries and work-related stress. Khan added the two crosses have since become their trademark events.

“The Islamabad Jeep Club, Ultimate Adventure Club Limited and Quetta 4x4 Club will attend the event as our guests.” Around 60 jeeps from Peshawar were so far confirmed.

He said the Swabi police will provide security for the event along with the club’s own security arrangements.

Moreover, six paragliders will also be present, and will use powered gliders, a first in the club’s history.
