QUETTA: A blast was heard in Quetta on Wednesday afternoon, Express News reported.

Security forces and rescue teams are on their way to the area.

Previous blasts

On the morning of November 21, a deadly cycle bomb in Quetta had killed five people – including a seven-year-old boy – and injured 30 others. It was the fourth blast in Quetta in less than 24 hours.

On November 20, three back-to-back explosions within the gap of few minutes in Quetta had killed two people including a rickshaw driver and injured nine others, including a woman and a police constable.

The first blast, which took place in the Industrial Area a half-kilometer from a police station had killed a rickshaw driver Abdullah and injured four others including two children and a woman.

The second blast had occurred when an Improvised Explosive Device was planted in front of the main gate of Industrial Police Station, which went off with a huge explosion, injuring the constable Jamilur Rehman.

A third blast had occurred at the intersection of Moti Ram and Patel Road, the downtown of Quetta, injuring four people including a child.
