KARACHI:

Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that the provincial government will ensure that jobs that are reserved for people with disabilities are given to them.

Addressing a press conference during the International Day for Disabled Persons, Shah said this amid accusations that the government has failed to provide the jobs provisioned for people with disabilities.

The chief minister also announced the establishment of an independent board for the welfare of those who have become disabled during terrorist attacks. According to Shah, the board will bear medical and accommodation expenses of terrorist attack victims when needed. “It will be an autonomous board comprising of members from civil organisations.”
