In his letter to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Khattak said that the province was "inundated with anger" at the Hangu drone strike on November 21 which killed six people and injured eight others. He said that as an elected representatives of the people, the government should ensure that the police doesn't harm the people who are protesting against the drone strikes.
Titled "Violation of Sovereignty" in Pakistan, Khattak's letter added that a federal meeting along the lines of an All Parties' Conference needed to be called to make progress on the issue.
He said that until such time, transportation of all Nato supplies to and from from Afghanistan should be blocked.

@ Pakistaniloyalist Probably you have not read history regarding creation of Taliban.... The Taliban were created by Pakistan's premier intelligence agency in 1994 with the blessing of the then Prime Minister. Do you know who was the Prime Minister of Pakistan then? Who was her Interior Minister, who used to call Taliban as "our boys"? Please come out of the US Syndrome. These are infact all the internal problems of Pakistan. Reality is bitter? Another bitter reality is that PTI has become the Political Wing of TTP. USA never asked for that!
@csmann: while the lion is meow-ing in front of his masters
@Adnan Siddiqi: lol! Yeah man! I do need tender love and a paid account to a matrimonial site. Because this economy and the deplorable state of my people does nothing but ravage me inside. lol @ tender love. Good one.
Lets see what the Lion does now MEOOOW OR WAAAHW
Mr Khattack, you are the elected chief Minister and it is time that you exercise the authority over the police and over the highways and over the customs and exise controls.Put on an extra $10,000 per container exise duty a

This may sound cynical, but I wouldn't mind if drones took out illegal Afghans ('proven' terrorists or not) living in Pakistan - their only contributions to society are drugs, gun culture, crime and extremism.
Just wish Imran was our PM First time ever a politician has the guts to stand up against the big forces BRAVO we need a brave and honest PM like Imran
@John the Baptist: Buddy, Several hate talkers here either have no sympathy for the people, are plain stupid or paid to write. So do not be offended and write with a positive tone, pointing out what is wrong and then giving a possible solution as well! Hate-talk will not differentiate your perspective, it will just undermine your comment. I understand completely, the pain and aggression rising from the devastating state of the country and our pockets :D
@The Failed Rebel:
And you my friend are in serious need of some tender love. Instead of blowing hot air in the guise of intellect, better that you start visiting some matrimonial sites of notable repute.
The spineless rulers of this country will never ever risk antagonizing the western lobbies because any sanctions on Pakistan are a threat to their foreign investments. I really wish that Imran Khan was the Prime Minister of Pakistan than this Nawaz who is blatantly taking IMF loans and continuously ruining the economy. The poor man is down to organ sale, and the middle class is being forced to poor class. Shame on the PML-N voters. KPK Government cannot do more than blocking NATO supplies through their territory. I hope that Nawaz and his allies are brutally slain, and the monarchies abolished. What bigger crime than driving the women of my mother country to give sex for sustenance? My people, when will you feel the tragedy and agony of the poor? Has the time not come to wake up from the hypocritical illusions of the rulers?
Actually that's what Taliban khan line for the past 7/8 years. He only see world from 1 eye. Violation of Sovereignty is only caused by Drone, and not the ill-legal people who are peddling drugs on Pakistan street, over crowding hospitals, occupying unallocated lands, damaging sewerage. plundering all wealth or public service deemed for Pakistani citizen who pay tax OR poor enough to make govt ask for Loans in their names.
Violation of Honor-Only if US Drone strike involve innocent lives or collateral damage, but not the 100's of strikes on innocent people who were praying in mosque, trying to make ends meet, striving for livelihood, students going to school... and then the dogma statement "we have been fighting for last 10 years, try talking" 1-SriLanka fought for 22 years. 2-Ireland story 3-Italy Mafia and so many others...
Actually it does not matter who fight who... in the end, its our religion tells us to fight UNJUST. unjust is Taliban, who are killing innocent Pakistanis in the name of US war on afghan....
They are same people- who want to fight in Afghanistan against Russia in the name of Jihad- and we use to say- stop that, Afghanistan is a Sovereign nation, and should deal with it on its own. They then replied, oh its Muslim brothers, we need to help! Now they want to kill us, because Muslim brothers have fight with US...but hold on..we are Muslim brother? right? you should at least spare my children? No? US -please kill all those butchers for us..because our government is not capable of doing so. Ameen!
Excellent letter...
Goodluck PTI....
Well done PTI and their allies. Shareef & Company (media + ....) are confused now. Put pressure on federal government otherwise they have nothing to do with the terrorism issue. For them it is secondary because they don't bear the heat of terrorism.
Democracy & vote is such powerful expression that it can make a CM out of a rat.
@John the Baptist: Do not worry about csmann. I am still waiting for him to write something with logic in it. He almost always writes inaccurate, emotive missives.
@John-yet-to-be-Baptized:
What's with this fetish you got regarding the upbringing or lack thereof of other bloggers around here? Are you trying to find similarities out here with a dysfunctional family or upbringing that you might have had? Just stick to the topic at hand and come up with solid arguments instead of masking your frustration by taking personal jibes at other bloggers.
One more question......has Pervaiz Khattak written this letter to the PM in the capacity of CM KPK or ex-Secrertary General of PTI?! Buhahahahahahahahahahaha :D
Ah give us a break Mr. Pencil Khattak! Instead of writing letters to PM (dictated to you by others), do something worthwhile which would benefit the people of your province. Quit being a lackey of IK by doing a daily tawaf of Banigala Mansion and at least muster enough courage to ask your Police to name Obama and John Brennan in the Hangu FIR. Watchha gotta loose, you CMship which is already dysfunctional and the $500 million of "Bheek" from USAID and European Union.
@Unbelievable,
And you seriously think that the Federal Government would be pressurized by someone who has lost all moral authority to rule KPK since the day vigilantism commenced in KPK in connivance with a known jehadi group like JI! This letter even if it has been received by the PM would most probably ended up where it belongs......trash bin.
An exercise in futility. I appreciate the illiterate of Pakistan for their wisdom at elections, Naya Pakistan has proven to be Gaya Pakistan under PTIs watch.
This man has completely lost it. He is the government, why is he asking PM to stop police impeding protestors, which by the way, is completely legal as what the protestors are doing is illegal. Its under his own control. No APC need be called. What will they say? We don't like drones. Hasn't that been said a million times before to no effect?
I think they are tired, pm should not pay heed to them, let their workers curse them to vanish.
lol.. haters gonna hate as always. do we know that KP is hosting over 3 million Afghan nationals since 1989, because of the mr bravo US doings at that time? and now we say that because we can not tackle our own problems, let's outsource this problem to a third country, to invade our sovereignty, and to kill whoever they want. and who said PTI was failing? is there any front where previous governments were performing well than PTI? .. think and you would find a NO un answer. I don't really need to count here the steps kp gov has taken so far, but this gov is performing way well than previous corrupt govs.
@csmann:
From your emails. it is clear that you were brought in a typical tax chaeting, bribe giving, money embezzling family of failed parents, who could neither teach you any manners nor give you an inttect. Honihar burwa kay chiknay chiknay paat!
Repent now and come back with something reasonable to say. May Buddha show you light cause all else seems to have failed.
Nice move by PTI - puts the pressure on Sharif which is where it belongs. It's past time that the leaders of Pakistan actually lead rather than being prodded. How about telling the people the truth for a change - suspect even anti drone Pakistani's would prefer drones vs American troops on the ground.
Let the bashing begin because americans have always been our friends. That's why they invited us to fight their war and we fought it and now we're a independent and safe state.
@Amir, Yes, the govt has been registering all foreigners settled in kp for the past 3/4 years.
Mr. Khattak should also answer whether the people killed int he drone strike were Pakistanis and if not, did they obtain any visa or exemption or were hiding/living there without the consent and knowledge of the government.
If latter is the case, then KPK govt. must get all the foreigners in such category registered. Any progress done so far Mr. Khattak? At least is there any proposal in the making? Do you even know that this is also a violation of Sovereignty?
So teeli-bhalwan now cooks up the numbers, casulities in Hangu strike to 14 though FIR by his government says it was 6 Afghan nationals.After failing to deliver in K-P,he wants to put the blame somewhere else.Now his party is working hard to take Pakistan down with them.Anything to keep TTP happy.
